I-Forged-Wheels....interesting name for a wheel company that basically takes designs from other manufacturers and forges them. lol Well at least forges their design a bit and call it their own...

Mike what excuses did Vince use?

Last time I had "they weren't up to my quality standards" as well as "the machine shop was delayed in getting to them"

Sucks to hear this.

I digress: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=94106

it was all about the finishing process this time around. spent 2 weeks there for one wheel. i was told some wheels apparently take 6 weeks at the finisher and it's the most important part to get it exactly right. so they couldn't give any specific date guarantee.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...yeah i don't buy it.

Just an update, but I spoke to Vince@IForged and I wish that I had dealt directly with him from the beginning. I feel that the situation would have been handled without anything that may have been lost in translation along the way, but the situation has been dealt with. There seems to have been a lot of miscommunication somewhere along the lines before it came to me.

Anyway no worries, they will be receiving the wheel in-house today and shipping it overnight as per my request.

It is unfortunate that this experience had to take a turn for the worse, but I am glad to hear that Vince is willing to step in and get everything sorted promptly. An important note to make is that they now stand behind the fact that they would have never made me pay for shipping, which is a great thing to hear.

whoa! at least the quality was on point though. i actually just got an update from them since they got the wheel back from the finisher. there is an imperfection on the powdercoating so they will be re-doing the powdercoat and sending it out on monday (tuesday latest). pretty disappointed. well...a lot more than disappointed.

Re-doing the powdercoat will weaken the wheel structure. If it's an option, I'd just return the wheel set and get something else. You have more than valid grounds to file a dispute with your credit card company.

I hate to say it, but this is the reason I didn't buy I-forged. I was close with Dan too, but his willingness to work hard for his customers doesn't mean I-forged will respond to his requests. I say thumbs up for Dan, but I-forged is a walking disaster. I have never heard more complaints for any wheel in my 10 years of modding cars. It is amazing they are still in business or any vendor will deal with them.
