Are you talking about the coin-operated pressure hoses? The paint BMW currently uses for our cars is very sensitive (for lack of a better word ). As long as you keep it 2 feet or more away from the car you should be fine. I don't use it to remove all the dirt...just to rinse the car as I hand wash using a sheepskin mitt.

For over 23 years Innovative Detailing has been using pressure washers with reverse osmosis water....We use a gear reduction style unit and maintain a constant low pressure and we keep a proper distance from our customers vehicles. We use a flexible wand so that we can pressure wash inside the wheel wells and our pressure washer guns always have a protective nylon tip.

I was curious about using a pressure washer as well.

When I finally get my e92, and during the winter months, I'm planning on rinsing it off at the local car wash and then washing it by hand in my garage using ONR.

How about the automatic brushless car washes? Would the pressure on those be too harsh for a quick rinse?
