NASA Track Events - HPDE1-4

Hey guys, never tracked before, and I learned about NASA and their events...
this seems like a great place to start with their High performance driver events with classes 1-4

I was wondering if there is anything like this out there?

per HPDE is it $175 -

for example, HPDE1 has a classroom course, then you go out on the track with professional next to you that teachers you the in, out, take off, and everything a newbie would need to learn.. HPDE1 you could do the same without an instructor, HPDE3 you could pass, and HPDE4 you basically at the same level as all HPDE4's and could have a nice track day.

are all track events this way? or for example, if you go out to the track events that are about $115, you get on the track and you drive - no instructions or instructor, and ranges from noobs to pros on the same track

thanks!

They aren't all this way.

For instruction NASA has turned into the leader in Norcal where BMWCCA used to be. The Socal chapter may be more active and if they are I would do their track days first.

Once you can move into HPDE3 I think NASA would be great.

All clubs have varied levels but not all have instruction. Also, some are safer than others. A lot of this depends on the region you're in.

There's an event coming up in 2 weeks at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana if you're interested. It's not as affordable as the NASA dates you quoted, Auto Club Speedway cost $16,500 to rent a day as opposed to Buttonwillow ($6,000) or Willow Springs ($4,500).
