Intake questions/comments

Does anyone have the dinan intake installed. if so is there any noticable increase in power or sound.

The afe apparently loses power so i dnt like that.

The BMW performance intake is ridiculously expensive.

I cant find too much info on the dinan. At about $400 is it worth it?

Just get either the Euro air box with K&N and scoops or delete your charcoal filter, AFE or K&N drop in and scoops.

I doubt the dealership will notice the scoops if you get them in black. I've had mine in for a few weeks and my car is fine. I know many members on here have had them in for years and I have not heard a thing about their cars overheating due to scoops.

^correct, there is still plenty of air going to the radiator, also don't forget that lower middle grill is open for airflow also.

Not sure where you are seeing the aFe lose power on a 328. An aFe Drop In Filter and Scoop package would be worth it if you are not going to do software. If you plan on a software upgrade, then go with the full intake.
