Plate frame
Hey guys, as I'm picking my car up within 2 weeks or sooner. I want to buy a front plate frame that doesn't require to be drilled into the front bumper. I've seen someone on the forum from states selling this plastic-like rack that hangs onto the front grill or something and now I can't find his thread. I need to get one asap to get it painted. Can anyone help me on this one?
Thanks in advance.

are you looking for something like kits's E92?
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=115071 I think AJ-racing should have those L brackets for sale.. or you can also do a DIY... BTW, did you tell you dealer not to drill the front plates? cause usually they will do it ASAP right after the car is delivered.

Yeah I did, I made my SA to write in the sheet and sign it. thanks again. EDIT: I think the one I want is that L bracket you are talking about, mounted in the front. I can't tell if the AW in the link drilled its front plate on the bumper on the right hand side or if it was mounted with some other method.

no problem.. if you got the time, and tools, you can probably make a replica L bracket for dirt cheap at local hardware store..
just need two strips of metal, bend it, drill hole for plate, and then find some heavy duty doublesided tape and tape it in place

yeah i don't know man. i'd do it but i would need to buy the tools and stuff...
spending 50 bucks isn't much.. but for two strips of metal with little silicon dots?(that Skenes or something).. seems little too much? no offence to those who bought the bracket

google around, there are tons of guides on DIYing those plate holders. especially in the honda scene, where lots of budget modders are DIY their plate holder to make it JDM..
I got the tools to make those L brackets, but i just dont have the time ..

Hey~ thanks very much!
I'll probably end up doing the DIY since it's going to be my first little mod for the car XD. I'll get on it in a couple of weeks and post how it turns out.
