MP3 wont play on my cd player

Visit the Audio sub-forum and do a search

MANY mp3 related threads. Perhaps you're just using the incorrect settings when burning, so do a search on "mp3 settings" "nero" etc.

Dude,

I went through all th threads and tried all the options.Different recording speeds,various barnds CD writers etc.Nothing worked.I figured out my car needed a software update.I took it to the dealer.He installed a new version of software and now I can play MP3's.But Logic7 system should play MP3.Mine 06 330i.

Glad you got it resolved

I vaguely recall maybe earlier '06 models not being mp3 capable... I *think* it was for those w/o Navi (dunno if you got Navi or not)? Not 100% sure but like I said I vaguely recall something about that (w/o searching for it to satisfy my memory lol). So perhaps the s/w update was the answer to for those builds.

For cars with SatNavPro, mp3 capability was available from Oct05 builds (in the UK anyway)- others, including those with SatNav Business, had mp3 playback already.

For cars with SatNavPro, built before Oct05, a Progman update (minimum Cip20) & mp3 software retrofit are needed.
