Did I actually register my battery?

Got my cable in today and downloaded BMWlogger it read my cable but when I hit connect it said unable to connect to my dme then I went to register battery under the "special" tab and it said registration successfull and my gauge needles sweeped. I'm guessing the registration doesn't use the dme and it actually registered correctly? Just want to make sure.

The registration data is stored in the DME. In order to verify that the registration was performed correctly, you will need to use INPA from BMW Standard Tools 2.12.

In INPA, go to E90 -> Engine -> MSD80 -> <F5> status analog/digital -> <F5> IBS power management -> <F2> PM 1 Byte field:

If the mileage for the last battery change is 0.00km, the battery was not registered correctly.

Thats the way to do it..

Just make sure you select the correct engine type..

Mine was MSV70 (for a 325i 2007)

Also, that F5 above (B change) will register a new battery.

Also as I learned, pressing reset will reset the battery with no further warning. Oops!

Hey guys, does anyone knows where or which module does reset mileage stored at?
And ones new battery registered which module responsible for charging battery profile?
Thx
