I have had 2 alignments done on my car, one in Alexandria, LA and one at the German BMW dealer I went to in Germany. Neither one of the shops said anything about this.
C and C auto in west augusta GA told me that they would have to drill out the camber bolts on my front end to adjust the camber. That charge would of cost more than the whole damn alignment. Was I getting scammed or were they correct? |

I presume you are speaking of the alignment pins. With the pins in, not much can be done to adjust front camber. I suppose it's possible they would need to drill them out, if there was any kind of suspension component bending/damage, which might put your front camber out of range.
I drilled mine out myself in order to increase negative camber beyond where it can go with the pins in. I can't imagine they would charge much for the removal. It's really easy to do, just get one of those drill bits at home depot for removing frozen screws. Costs about 5 bucks for the bit. |

Had my camber bolts drilled out as well during alignment for toe adjustments after lowering the car...mechanic said he couldn't adjust much if he didn't drill them out
