I was under the impression that the DCT paddles only operated with the pull/pull fetaure and the steptronic paddles only work with the pull/push feature.

No, you are correct. The DCT paddles are pull pull only. This is a much more common setup on cars these days.

It doesn't take long to get used to the function.

Sorry for so many damn questions about this, lol. Feeling like a newb

If I put this wheel on my car(pre-lci) it would then function with a pull/pull instead of a push/pull like I have now. Is there any coding involved after installing this or is it simply plug-n-play?

Nope, no coding needed. Plug it in and go. You will have pull-pull functionality with this wheel.
