How will tuners keep a high flater torque curve in the mid range rpm's?
Is it adding more fuel?

Having driven the 335d for a couple days, I can tell you this car is nothing short of awesome, and I wouldn't hesitate one bit to buy one. The torque is AWESOME and so is the MPG to go with it.

And I promise you, standing next to it, you would barely even be able to perceive it as being a diesel. In fact, I think the 335i's are louder with the wastegate rattle

I drove one and it fulled like a train all the way until redline. 2500rpms may sound like not a whole lot but their redline is at 5000rpm.

numbers don't tell the story here. you have to drive it to understand that dyno charts aren't everything.

"falls off like a rock" is a bit melodramatic...it's down to 240 (60% peak torque) at the wheel at red-line on what is known to be a conservative dyno.

I wouldn't call that falling like a rock.

In fact, as it hits redline, it has lowered "all the way down to the N54's PEAK TORQUE".

Dyno numbers could be better if you can find premium diesel.

Premium Diesel!? Wow. I never heard if it b4:

Where can you get it in the NYC area? Is there a website? Shell & BP's locators only specify diesel not specifically this designer diesel.

Will using designer diesel also lower the mileage or is it win/win.

my biggest problem is finding good diesel for my d. not every station lists their cetane rating =(

23% is a lot of driveline loss.

How bout we run these bad boys on propane!

Funny about all the people who complain about how loud and rattley a diesel is...the only thing you can hear is tire noise and the fan. So much for the farm tractor rhetoric.

Cheers
D.

Any recommendations on an upgraded intercooler? Can we use any of the ones that are compatible with the 335i's?

My log says that's a nice torque curve.
