FSC code needed - where to source?

Hi Guys,

I still have a CCC business > pro nav upgrade to do but I need the FSC code for voice activation, to get it off BMW is too expensive. So my questions are:

1) Can anybody help me get the code for a 2005 E90?
2) If I go ahead with the retrofit coding but without the FSC code will my other voice inputs remain i.e telephone?

Thanks

1. For CCC Voice FSC your only source is the BMW Dealer.
2. Everything but the Voice will continue to work in your CCC retrofit.

A kind soul over at digital-kaos hooked me up with the FSC DVD. I don't know if it goes back to 2005, but it worked when I flashed my CCC to V32, then found out I had no voice entry. Here's the link from I had before. If it's dead, let me know and I'll get a copy to you somehow. The disk is like 400000 files in a single directory so it takes progman forever to load it up. I just copied my VIN and made a CD with just it and it loads pretty much instantly. If you don't want to play the rapidshare wait game, PM me your VIN and I'll see if I can hook you up with a CD image with just your file.

Lucky you that you found your vin, I can't and I still need the code. How did you search the files? On the IBUS cars you could change it in the settings, but I don't know in the MOST based cars. Normally though the language coding is based on the country's Vehicle Order. Ask the guys over here:

I finished this today and did the coding without the FSC code as I couldn't find an alternative source to BMW. I can confirm though that I have lost all voice input so when I press the talking head button nothing happens at all.

I'll post my retrofit in another thread shortly.

What hacks me off is that I had voice control before i had the retrofit done to CIC and then it would have cost me about 800 Euros to activate it again! No way i'm paying that.

Not correct. Hardware activation of the Voice will cost you at least twice cheaper. Just do not go for OEM FSC, use proven hardware activation way.

Do you mean the SSS Progman software that was officially used by BMW until a year or so ago? Dealers have since moved on to ISTA/P for the most part. Progman is still useful and has been hacked to work with relatively cheap OBD interface adapters for K+Dcan interfaces.

The fact is that the car was retro-fitted with the SA609 option.
So in the factory the FSC file can't exist because it has not been produced !

Patryk,

I'm not getting at you, its BMW and there extorinate pricing... and i'm hoping to get the combox retrofit done by you in the not to distance future

Regarding the SA609 option, there must be a repair or something along that lines option within the BMW system so that the user doesnt have to pay it.
What if the CIC has to be replaced under warranty?

My VO on the car has been updated via NCSExpert (CAS and NFRM)to say it was manufactured 2010,
if i take into the dealer and they do an update will it sort the voice control or could i say its stopped working?

I would like to buy this code but just at a realistic price. If anyone knows a good dealer willing to supply the code only please let me know.
