Hi, I know it's kinda late, but would anyone have a spare CB Handset? I am not sure if I should buy one just for the trip

Sujoy, I am 99% sure I will be coming for the drive day
I will have Saturday to recover from my weekly long trip to Melbourne and Adelaide and by Sunday I should be good

I am also bailing on the variety santa run on the same day.. driving seems more fun than running..

You might as well ask to borrow someone else's toothbrush.

A handheld CB Radio is something everyone should have, do the right think and buy your own.

They are always useful.

You could be right, but I am 26 now and I have never had to use one yet? Maybe I use my mobile too much?? Is CB radio the new trend, like Facebook and Twitter?

Oops, I forgot about this....

My daughter's having a party Saturday arvo with a sleepover to follow. I will have to broach this with SWMBO who remains exceptionally grateful for her badge. Fingers crossed. Weather is supposed to be fine early too.

Naturally at this late stage I don't expect a comfy seat at lunch but would be nice to do the drive and say hello.

Speaking of lunch has a venue been sorted? By the sounds of it just from E90post we have about 10 - 15 ppl coming. Guessing the same in the other 2 forums? That's quite a number... and convoy!

I've never been on one of these club cruises.. I'm guessings it's more of a leisurely drive considering the number of cars and no doubt traffic?

I believe Alex knows of a lunch venue. As for numbers, they are a bit optimistic as there are a few drop outs and no shows. No big deal though, those that come will definitely enjoy the day and with quite a few new members around it will be good to see some new faces! It will definitely be a leisurely drive - there might be some enthusiastic front runners but we'll have some radios and exchange phone numbers anyway so there's not such a chance of getting lost.

Try and see if you can convince her lol! It will be a nice way to relax and enjoy a Sunday with some food and a drive.

Also, despite looking grim at the moment, weather prediction for Sunday according to BOM is just partly cloudy and 18-26.
