C63 amg, spec when leasing

Well I'm almost definitely gonna put the order in for my c63 on Monday so have a few questions for the guys that have owened them, there seem to be a few on here now.

I have changed my mind and am ordering a 4 door rather than 5 now and am stuck on colour,I want white with red and my mrs is insisting on black with white leather.
Has anyone seen these combination's in the flesh?

Also is it worth the additional premium for the 19" multi spokes (silver ones not black) over the standerd 18" wheels.
Are there any more must have optional's I should be considering, will I be making a big mistake not adding LSD and ppp to the spec considering this will be a lease car ? The monthly payments take quite a jump if I include the ppp to the spec.
Thanks lee

White with red leather is very racy and gets a lot of attention. Had one like this last year. If you do that then the black rims look better. The enthusiasts will say you must have an LSD, mine did not and still I loved every minute of it. They do look better with the 19s and black with the silver multi spokes is a great look to. Had an estate in this combo and it looked great.

White with red for me please. I would not add anything to the basic spec. On a lease it will cost a fortune and undermines the value of a cheap lease. Live with the basic car, enjoy it and give the keys back at the end of the lease. Add LSD or PPP and it becomes v v expensive.

Very jealous! Whichever combo you go for go for the 19's. I was doing some work at Mercedes in Bradford on Monday and they had a white one with 18's, it didn't look half the car it does with the 19" multi spokes

I have a black C63 saloon on 19" multispokes with the very pale cream leather (could be mistaken for white) - I believe it's called Alpaca. I'm very fond of this combo as a lot of cream interiors often include off-white plastics/carpets, which IMO look awful - this one ticked the box for me because it was just the seats and the middle of the door panel that are cream coloured - the rest is black.

That said, I had red leather in my E92 so I'm absolutely not averse to a red interior - quite the opposite, I loved mine in the BMW. I have a pre-2011 facelift car, so red wasn't an option then - it was black or Alpaca. My only reservation to white now is it has been popular again since early 2007 - will it still be 'the colour to have' 2 years into your lease? Or will you wish you'd gone for the black?

As for the wheels, I think they make the car - they certainly show off the brakes better and allow for a greater visual differentiation from lesser models that are fitted with similar wheels and an AMG trim level. I don't think the standard 5 spoke rims do much for the car.

One option to think about would be to spec the car with standard wheels and then source a s/h set of the 19's. Sell your 18" tyres with next-to-no miles on and then use the 18's for winter wheels. At the end of your lease you'll have a set of 19's to sell, which will have been cost neutral for the period of ownership (instead of paying for them but never owning them, as an option, over the duration of the lease).

As per what others have said, I wouldn't tick the PPP box (you can remap to 520bhp if you feel shortchanged on the power front) but I will respectfully disagree with Chris and Peter on the LSD; 460bhp and 440lbft is a ridiculous amount of power to put the an open diff and silly-thin 255 rear section tyres.

My car is without locking diff and is my only regret in its spec. My car spends waaaaaay too much time with the traction light on and one wheel trying to spin (and I don't drive like a dick head. Well, not much). At worst case scenario (if the diff adds nothing to the cars RV) you will be paying £36/month per £1,000 of options (assuming a 3 year lease). Assuming a locking diff is a £1,500.00 that's going to add £54/month worst case scenario to your monthly cost. With hindsight, I'd add that in a heartbeat.

Otherwise, enjoy.

Have them run the figures on a car with and a car without the diff.
I would seriously recommend it, especially if you like to press on.
After 40k miles in one, I have significant experience of the frustration than can be caused with the open diff.

Wow that looks stunning !!!
Thanks for sharing them, argh I can't make my mind up ha,, that colour combo makes the car look classy as well as sporty if you get me.
I am a bit worried the white and red will cheapen the car a little??

I'll get on to them first thing and ask about the LSD ,

Garage List
I would go with the white and red. Black looks really nice, but it gets dirty just staring at it (Been there done that).

This is very true.
Cleanliness (next to Godliness, apparently) in this weather lasts about 5 miles.
Better in the summer.

The black combo for me, it's just my opinion but there are to many white cars on the road at the moment and its starting to get boring.

Black looks aggressive and suits the C63.

Sheps can you spec red calipers or are they a extra only for the ppp?
I'm after red purely for cosmetics not the brake upgrade as such.

Assuming it drives well (there won't be any available before I order, so I'll base an orde on the A45 on which it's based) I'll be ordering the CLA 45; a four door coupe in the mould of the CLS, C-class sized. No V8 this time round, the AMG power plant is a F1 team from Brackely-developed turbo 4 pot, with 360bhp, 4wheel drive and a 7 speed twin clutch box.

I've been on to my local dealer (MB of Cambridge) and have reserved their first demo slot of the A-class AMG when they take delivery of their demo in late June.

Just Googled the CLA45, looks fantastic and the stats of the A45, if that is anything to go by, look awesome!

Is that another lease package?

It's a handsome looking thing, I really like it.
I can't wait to get behind the wheel of an A45 and see how it goes - I've been pestering my dealer since I heard about it!

It will be leased again, but I have no idea of the figures yet - order books for the A45 open in March, so I'll know what that will cost next month and will be in a position to make an educated guess how those figs will translate up to the CLA from there - the motoring press suggests the list price of the CLA will be £3k higher than that of an equivalent A class, meaning the CLA 45 should have a base price of circa £39k (Or mid 40's once you through in nav, 19's, HK Audio etc).

Nice car sheps - i thought you owned a white one with the plate S11EPS on it. I've seen this knocking about the Kensington area - another sheps with a C63, what are the chances of that!
