Sidnito keep us informed about what to do if you all ready replaced it? I had mine replaced not under warranty.

Didn't get a letter yet but made an appointment for next Friday.

IIRC they won't do the work unless you have the recall letter in hand. Back in the day at least. Hopefully that changed.

Open Road always takes care of me and hopefully the letter arrives this week. Plus they should be able to pull you up by VIN anyway.

So I think BMW still has my old address or something. I never get the letter in the mail. Even when the battery cable was recalled I had to call in.

THe dealership will run you vin and they will know what recalls your car was slated for.
