Tired of AW look already after three months. I am thinking of going Titanium Silver by way of duct taping the whole car.

Way cheaper than the one shown here ... but I heard it will destroy the paint. Any ideas?

Taking this a bit OT, but I don't think BMW uses single-stage paint anymore. We all have clear coated paint.

This is crazy. I just stumbled on upon this 4 month old thread. I never heard of such a thing. Guess it would be a good idea to protect the paint for 3-4 years then. Especially for the fact it is a black car originally.

Everyone that keeps making negative comments about how it looks is pure speculation..I've never personally seen a car completely covered like that and I assume most others as well...

That is a very interesting mod though. A little pricey, but I'm sure the labor is what kills the cost.

If the OP made a thread titled "My new AW e90," no one would be the wiser as to its true color. LMAO.

Love thoese wheels too..yum.

Car manufacturers haven't used single stage paint since the 80's. If our BMW's where single stage when we would polish them the paint color would transfer to the pad surface.

wow that price is cheap for a total, custom "clear-bra"..but color-bra. I guess labor in Germany is cheaper? But we paid 1K for custom cut clear bra just on the front part of the car.

looks good!! This needs to catch on in the US. I'm surprised the Euro/Japan show cars here in California haven't caught on.

And why is that.....

In Danmark almost all Taxi´s are covered with this. My uncle had one for 3 years. And the day he sold his Mercedes E320 CDi they toke of the film and the paint was as new.

So I do not know why it would damage the original paint.

Indeed they are.. and I think this is a brilliant idea.

Gerritg: it looks amazing! I can't believe they can fit it so precisely.
