for the price.. hilarious, from what i've gathered, taht $6500 gets you about 305-320whp and 250ft-lb of tq..... $10k would get you an N54/box swapped in for 400-450whp, near 500+ft-lb and more potential.. heck, over in the US you'd probably get a whole 135i/335i for that money.... >_>

at that price, it's simply not a viable option for literally anyone.. it would cost me the $6.5k price tag, $500 odd in shipping, $1000 headers with $250 shipping, about 15% in taxes, installation.. so about $9500 + install.. say $1.5k for that, about $11k to boost an N52 and get proper power out of it .. add another $1k for an average custom mandrel SS exhaust, $12k to properly set it up

that's ACTUALLY slightly more than it would cost me to get an N54+gearbox and install it to my car (regardless of the fact i'm building the engine for a lot more.. )

the lack of updates on top of that? no thanks

I already read the whole thread before

Just checked a few pages back

No.. Not really in depth?. Only brief mentions of 'its not worth it'

With solid pricing, it's now possible to fully work out tht it's not just a feasible $5-6k like people thought before

Thanks for being nice and polite about it though!....

Ah fair enough, seems about par for the course lol

My point is i guess, it's not just sell car + supercharger money and get a 135i or 335i like people were sayi g... Its sell car+sc money = instant fbo+meth+tune+probably even bigger turbos and possibly other mods if you got a good deal o_o

If it was just 6k, the cool factor alone would be near worth it though

Due to unforeseen issues, MMW will be pulling out of the N52 supercharger development. I want to personally thank everyone for following us along this journey and I hope in the future the need is met for the N52 crowd.

It has been years of hard work and getting to the point we did was a feat in and of itself. But we are going to have to cut our losses on this and look to the future with new products for the BMW enthusiast market.

As it is now, MMW will not be involved in supercharging the N52, and is not partnered in any developments with other tuners, designers, or distributors on the subject.

Apologetically,

- MMW

They scrapped the idea a while ago. I'm surprised more people didn't know the way everyone was going crazy.

To be honest, as cool as it sounded it isnt worth it for MMW or us N52er's to have this "supercharger". People probably don't want to hear it, but if you want to dish out cash like that and want gains, sell the n52 and get a 335.

/\ What he said.

Only real reason to even consider massive engine mods to an N52 (Swap being the only real viable option) would be because you have X drive and want something unique. But even then, 335's come in X drive.
