P0112 code help

Hey guys. New to the forum. My D has 72,000 miles on it. This morning upon cold start my Service engine soon light pops up with a p0112 and a Pending P0112 code as well (monitored continuously and might clear if parameters allow) I checked it with an Actron scanner and cleared it. Drove around all day and parked at families house for 6 hours or so. After cold start the code popped up again. Is the IAT sensor an issue on the 335D like it is on the 35D? I dont see but a hand full of threads based on this issue and none of them have a definitive solution. I am leaning towards IAT sensor replacement or MAF sensor replacement, but would like to see if anyone else knows more about similar issues. I am planning on doing a DIY CBU clean up after my sons football season is over in late October.

Update:
Replaced charge air temp sensor in cold pipe and cleared the code. SES light came back on upon 2nd start up. Let me tell you what a prime location BMW decided to put that damn sensor with a lock clip. Waiting on my bluetooth OBDII adapter So I can run Carly for BMW (BMWHAT) SO I can pull BMW specific codes to closer diagnose the issue. Should be here today. I have always had a sneaky suspicious feeling that there is a good amount of CBU at 72k mi. I am gathering my tools for a DIY CBU clean out as well.

Shocked to see nobody ever posted anything to help out. Hope it didn't cost you an arm and leg to fix.
