Stupid state patrol creeping around my house today!!

So i was driving home today going the speed limit, and i see a cop coming down the road in front of me and i set me cruise control at 35 the speed limit is 35. He passes me going the opposite direction, i look in the rear view mirror and he keeps going for about 15 seconds, by this time i am right at my drive way, just as i signal to turn into my driveway he pulls into a driveway to turn around to come after me i assume. His lights were not on when i turned into my driveway

I am the last house on a private drive thats like 1/4 mile long. So i drive to my house as i get to the last house before my hosue i look in the rear view mirror and see the cop go by on the road with his lights on ( He did not see where i turned in cause he was turning around at the same time i turned off)
So i get to my house and pull up in front of my shop where i always park my car, there is a 6 foot tall fence that blocks the car from my drive way and you cant see it from the house either.

So about 5 or 10 minutes go by and i walk to my house and out the window i see the cop creeping down the driveway. Looking for my car. ( i assume he went up and down all the driveways close in the area looking for my car) So i went upstairs and hung out and watched him from my office he looked around both the other houses on the road and looked in my driveway but did not go over by my shop where the car was.

I really hope he didnt think that i was running or anything, he just happened to turn around as i got to my driveway. I assume he was trying to pull me over for no front plate but i have no idea. I was not speeding at all or doing anything stupid so thats the only thing i can come up with.

Maybe ill put my front plate on this weekend. I really really dont want to drill my bumper, maybe some double sided sticky tape would work.

Silly cops.

Double sided tape will work. I am using 3M outdoor mounting tape on all my cars. The tape has gone through rain, snow, freezing temps, and several road trips. It has been on for 7k miles on one of my cars and it is still strong!

On my BMW I used the original plastic mount. On my Acura I just taped the plate to the bumper since I never got the mount and the dealer wanted $50+ for one. No scratches or dents on either car. Like I said its VERY strong.

Hey OP, if it were required in my state to have a front plate I would for sure get the one that screws into the tow hook.

What's the obvious reason? I don't see why it wouldn't work. The website says the offer sizes to fit all vehicles.

Try the tow hook mount?

Or buy the "Hide Away Motorized Plate'. My friend has this on his M5. Video of his car and the plate in action!

The height of plate is adjustable. Look at the four mounting screw heights on the bracket in photos.

There are many ways to attach your plate without drilling into the front of the bumper or drilling at all....

I got my 7th warning in my life for not having plate on..and went to court once before I went to europe. They dropped the case because cop didnt show...

Front plates make it easier for one to get caught with a camera, thats why I dislike them a lot.
