I guess one important thing you may want to know is that Richard cuts his tints BY HAND, rather than a computer cutout like most places do.

If you are VERY picky with the way the tint line looks on the edges of your windows, I am sure you will prefer computer cutouts rather than handcut tint films.

That is interesting. When I went to do the tint at Thornhill tints, it was computer cut. He does some fine adjustment by hand only for the rear window.

Mine were all hand cut by Richard himself.

It's actually pretty good, believe it or not.

There are some minor edges that you can spot, but the edges are pretty uniform along the top edge. I guess they have been in the business for so long that even before computer cutouts were available, they were already cutting them with very good precision.

Richard says hand cutting is preferred as car is not always perfect with computer cut out.

also, he only has 20,35,38 currently. 30% has a premium of $40! I guess is inventory fluctuates.

which one is everyone using? At, Atx (is this the ceramic one?)
what about pinnacle?

autofx uses pinnacle for $275

which is the preferred one?

I just called Richard, and he just said the ATX one is ceramic and the price on that would be $400 best. The $250 one would be Sunguard. Anyone wanna go and do the tints together?

EDIT: I just called FXauto and they said Pinnacle Formula 1 would cost $300 without any deal yet. They told me to go to their showroom and talk to the people and may give better price. Im sure if more of us go we can get a better deal! PS. Pinnacle F1 is ceramic film which IMHO looks better and have a better quality.

I did mention Im from e90post lol, maybe Richard misunderstood me. I will try asking him again. Should I try mentioning your name? Or maybe someone else here who wants to get their car tinted please call Richard to confirm? But thanks Asclepius!

Just got off the phone with Richard and he told me that his suppliers have up'ed the prices on him and he quoted me $380 for the ATX tint for the e92........but then he also suggested to me the Sunguard Shadow series as well for $250 and guaranteed that it would NOT interfere with cars that have CA......i guess a couple guys could get together and see if we can negotiate a better price.........but does anyone have any experience with this particular brand of tint??

btw guys, i went and had my tints done from Auto-links in Scarborough (on Birchmount)...I quoted him a Red Flag Deals group buy special, and I got my e93 tinted, 38% all round, for $180 + tax, so about $200 total. It's computer cut, and the guy did a siiiiiick job..... The films he uses are "Sungard", lifetime warranty, non-metallic. The dude drives an older 535, so he's all about BMWs......

Great price for a great tint job, and a really nice guy......

Sorry for jackin a bit, and don't mean to undermine Asclepius' efforts (good job on organizing the GB).....Just thought I'd contribute.....

I'll post some pics this weekend hopefully so you can get an idea of the tint job....
