Chipping my 335

Hey gang. I'm new to this site and the whole BMW "scene" so I hope to be welcomed with open arms. I just bought my first BMW; a 335i coupe with all the bells and whissles. I love it. I want to chip it to get up to the advertised 380 hp range but Dinan wants $2k to do it... and they get to keep the module. Does anyone know of a repitable after market company that sells this same system for less then what Dinan wants and also allows me to keep the module and change the car back to stock if I wish to do so? I'm in norther california by the way.

Welcome to the forum. Before starting a thread why don't you take a look around the forced induction forum. There is all the info you will need in there and starting a thread asking for info that has already covered oh about eleventybillion times is sure fire way to get a nasty welcoming.

Long story short Dinan is the only flash available. It's not a chip, it's not a module, it just rewrites the code in the factory ECU. It is the only one with a warranty and you can only get it from Dinan authorized dealers. So, don't expect much of a price break.

There are plenty of other options out there and I'll leave you to research them.

Question Please read the Dinan threads first. You are absolutely wrong.

This is miss-informed You need to here for Dinan information. Its completely reversible back to stock if you so wish. I know, I went complaining after my flash and was told they'd reverse it for me if I was still unhappy after couple of days. Needless to say I am as happy as clams. Infact I don't know anyone who got the flash and wants it reversed. Some others have had other tunes removed, but not Dinan.
