Rbs feel like what?

Does diff between stock oem turbos and RB turbos feel as drastic as diff between no tune and post tune?

Or what would u compare it to?

I don't really understand the trap times and logs since
I've never been to a track.

And what is ballpark install fee?

Thx

Velvet! Relax dude, you are VERY ahead of yourself if you're looking at RBs. Get FBO (that'll be ~$2k in parts, you need an FMIC + DPs), run the Stage 2+ Maps & if you're still bored after all that, then consider RBs.
  • OEM Turbos (w/o meth) for about ~380 HP
  • RB Turbos (w/o meth) are good for mid-400 HP (prob a lot more in them, depends how aggressive your tune is)

Going from FBO + meth on stock turbos, then going FBO + more meth on RBs = that feeling you got when you went from stock to tune.

They're good for mid 50s lb/min at STP. They are good for whatever boost is required to reach that flow rate. It varies with RPM.

Just wondering...how much do a set of these go for? Also...installation is how long/expensive?

I wanna go full bolt on but at some point I'm sure I'm going to want more power...

Edit: just saw RB's go for around $3,500.

It's soooo much money thooo -- $3,500 in parts + labor. Upgraded Turbos (RBs, ASRs, other option if available at that time) would prob be my last mod. Gonna enjoy FBO for right now & focus on some visual mods.

its really not astronomical in ratio with the power gains you make with them, in the sense that these are the cheapest turbo upgrades and rob does not rape people on the profits of these at all. Im debating getting a set lately.

Lol I don't have a gf so I can pour unhealthy amounts of money into my car, so I did I've decided that my car is gonna stay drug-free, so no meth. I'm gonna try & get a CSL trunk before the end of the summer. Than eventually some VMR wheels & maybe a turbo upgrade next summer OR start saving for the next gen M3

i on the other hand have a girlfriend who i like to spoil, but appropriately. shes wonderful and i have plans of proposing this year and we are saving for a house for early next year BUT i am so antsy to get rb's. im a good saver though so i can manage if i pull the trigger for them. i bought a csl cf trunk and sold it two days later dont ask me why as they look great lol. vmr has some
nice wheels for sure, affordable BUT just dont go nailing big bumps in the road with thin tires, they will bend. But still are good wheels. Also, meth is great, i would highly reconsider... This car already makes enough power FBO + meth but i think with rb's id be super happy. The new m3 will be pricey but probably awesome. that or a used gtr of course, if you like them...

lol I think you should explain to your gf how much RBs would mean to you, especially since she's going to make every decision for you for the rest of your life Congrats on finding a decent woman tho. Since the roads in the North East resemble a pimply teenagers face w/ all the potholes, I'm gonna stick w/ 18" wheels so I'm not too bend/crack prone.

I like the GTR, but it's too much of a computer for me so I'd rather wait a year or two after the F series M3 comes out to pull the trigger, maybe ED it.

understandable totally, but still a wonderful vehicle. and my gf would be completely okay with me getting new turbos. shes awesome, and loves spirited drives in the 335 actually and is supportive in my interests if the means are available. you could always save for a big 62 trim turbo for your 335 too and make some serious power

That is awesome -- A gf that likes to go fast is a win. I've never been into the single-turbo rage, but I was at VAC last week to pick up spark plugs and they hinted that they're about to pull out an Ace for the N54.

SINCE you live in NJ, you should see if you could take a "mental health" day on June 21st
