Turning E90 Premium into E90 Sport.. ?
i got E90 330i with Premium package, car rides great, and i am quite happy with it, but.. well, my previous one was Lexus IS300 manual, a car created with the sole purpose of putting up resistance to BMW's domination in the sports car market, and so Toyota did quite a good job with suspension and overall handling of the car, particularly on models with manual transmission ..
now, after two weeks of driving BMW Premium i feel that i miss that suspension stiffness.. probably i should've gotten 330i with Sport package, but that was not the option at the time, not to mention that it would take forever to find this particular exterior/interior color combination.. anyways, i'm getting myself style 162 18" wheels to replace my style 159 17" weels.. also, looking at 330s with Sport package i see they they sit lower.. i wannna call BMW dealer and ask to replace required parts, and not sound like a total dolt.. besides wheels, to make suspension and handling feel more sporty, what do i need to replace in my car to achieve this (and to make it sit lower as well) ? is such trasformation even possible ? is it too expensive ? your input is very much appreciated.. |

I have both, and my knowledge isn't great but I'll give it a shot. You want the ZSP suspension. If anyone can hook you up with it, its Tischer BMW (www.getbmwparts.com). I'd suggest you pm either Jason or Evan. Not sure how easily you can get a ZSP, but I know you can always get the upgraded performance suspension from them, which I believe is a little over $1,000. The seats are also different, but they're not gonna drop it at all .

people are selling thier stock Sport suspensions on the classified's all the time. You can pick up the shock/strut and spring combo for pretty cheap. But you can get a better ride out of an aftermarket kit. Search around this suspension area and see what others are replacing thier stock sport suspension with. Look into a Bilstien and eibach setup or the Koni FSD

I don't know, that's a good question.
