Used CPO 2006 325i

Hello,

I have been deciding on my next car purchase for a while now and think I have decided on a 2006 325i from a bmw dealer and it includes a 2 year/80K warranty. Just wanted anyones thoughts, comments, advice. I was also looking at some 330is but for the price could not really find any that came with a warranty and I think its a better move to go with one. Below is the link of the one i'm looking at. They are asking 19,900 and it has 82K kms.

Looks like a solid choice. Welcome to the forums!

Non-335i e9x's proved to be fairly reliable over a long run, so you should have no regrets. Depending on where you come from, a power of 325i might or might not be enough for you, but definitely sufficient enough for daily commuting and city driving.

Thanks for the reply. Thats my biggest fear right now is regreting not going with a 330. Just not sure I will be able to find one with CPO that I can afford. Not sure if I should test drive the 330 either in case i fall in love. Although I have read some posts with people saying the difference is not that big. Is that just people with a 325 justifying their purchase?

I bought mine a year ago, it was 2006 325i CPO and was still under original warranty. In your case your original warranty expired... However I think you may be mistaken, CPOs are 2 years/100,000 miles extended warranty. You won't have regular maintenances covered.
As far as power is concerned? Yes, 0 to 60 I’m wasn’t impressed with, however got a really good top end speed. It’s not that bad, but it won’t bang your head against the head-rest either when you step on it… I like it though, it’s still a pretty fun car to drive, you’ll love the handling…

I own both, a 325i and a 330i, both are CPO cars. While there are subtle differences in power and handling (the 330i has sport package w/18" tires) the 325i has plenty of power and handles very well in it's own right.

i used to live in TO, and had a 3er up there... winter driving was not fun even with the snows. Have you looked at any "xi" models?

i think you will be satisfied with the 325. I imagine the first thing you would notice is that Its slow off the line, which i find a bit of a hassle for city driving where theres a light at every corner. But a bms powerbox will fix that..

I have a 325. Bought it with the extended warranty. The only time she got sick was when the regulators on the back windows died. Other than that she's been perfect and this is my second year with her.

love my 325i, i do long for a bit more power (in the 330i range) but still happy with it. This past winter was my first with it i bought a set of cheap winter tires and had no problems.

I think the head-bolt is broken. Take a look at the 1:00 position on the oil filter housing. http://listings.boostmotorgroup.com/...ID=36&isLogo=0

No big deal as long they fix it for free.

Thanks Chriztofor. Can you clarify what i'm looking for? I dont see it in the pic but for sure would want that fixed by them so want to be able to point it out in person.

Thanks to everyone else for posting. still debating if I should wait for a 330 that I can afford.

I have not made it in again to take a look. As soon as I do I will update the thread. Will take a pic as well if it looks like it and they disagree.

Thank a lot for the info though. I would have had no idea to look for that.

I debated the same thing, I ended up finding my 2006 330i CPO arctic blue for $17,500! Not a scratch and 34k miles. I'm a tough negotiator though. You can find what you want for your price, just have to look like crazy! But whatever it is, it's a BMW, congrats if you go with anything

This look like a very good price. What is the history of this car? No accident?

Have you asked for the service history?
