Spec 3 Clutch Bleed Issue

Having an issue bleeding the clutch.
I had a friend pump while I opened and closed the bleeder. It drops to the floor once I open the bleeder and close it. Then I have my buddy pump it. There is too much movement as if not engaged then halfway through, it just gets too hard to press but it's not at the floor yet. And it gets stuck there. I'm afraid of breaking something.

you might have an air pocket still...

I plan to pick up a bleeder gun and try that. If that doesn't help, I have seen people use a siringe to push the fluid up through the system and push the air out through the top.

You can bleed it by yourself if your willing to have a go.

I put a stick/vaccum cleaner pipe against the drivers seat and used the electric seat moving it hard forward so the clutch is depresses, bleed the air, Then move the seat back and let the clutch out and repeat till the clutch is fully working

You only bleed a tiny bit of air each time.

Your mate should let you know if the pedal feel is slowly going down and you should nip the bleeder back up over and over till it's sweet. If it's on the floor cause the bleeder is open well that means your letting the fluid out so no pressure can build

Why is the title Spec 3 Clutch bleed issue? Anyhow, you either need a brake bleeder or a vacuum pump. Pressing the clutch pedal to pump it will not do it. They also sell remote clutch bleed lines which makes it easier.

I have done many clutch bleeds, this one is the mother of PITA. Half way through, it's close to impossible to depress the clutch or it feels like I'll be braking things like linkages.

I ended up using a bleeder gun. Made sure it was holding 15psi without any bubles coming through. Then topped off the fluid and opened the bleeder screw. Some fluid came up and so did some bubles but then it was all fluid.

Bleeder gun as in a Mityvac?

Yes. Not exactly the mityvac but a gun very similar to it.
