Yeh I guess I feel the same way.

I'm only liking the 1er for it's explosive little package and looks to me that are satisfactory.
Although technically I could afford a 335 now I'll wait a little while to get one that I really want (late model, low k's etc)

If someone were to offer a straight swap between their 135i and my 325i though, that would be tempting!

lol yeah if someone were to offer a straight swap for mine i'd do it. It's a damn nice little car. I'd still want to get a 3'er version though... need more $$$$$$

1 series looks like a girls car imo, probably get away with it if you are a small man or asian

So you got the sizzling hot brunette while I scored her pudgy sister? DAMN it's alright though since I spend most of my time inside her anyway

Only $31995 for the basic M3 performance pack
That thing GOES like the clappers. A bit on the expensive side but that's to be expected for a full charger kit. I still dig the S65 over the N54. Put the V8 in the 1M and I'd be all over it.

Couldn't justify the $30k leap from 135i to 335i when I didn't need the size (or have the cash). I think the 1er looks unique in its own way, it's by all means not ugly.

335i LCI w/ DCT and PROcede...now that'd be a car.

Thanks for your amazing insight. Your mum's CLK is much less feminine.

I don't feel the need to compensate for anything so the 1er's compact size doesn't bother me.

135i is hardly entry level, price wise only a few cheaper, performance wise very few that are faster.

not really about compensation, more about leg room etc.

i sit fairly comfortably in the 3er, though even with the seat lowered as far as possible if i sit bolt upright my head touches the ceiling. that doesnt really leave much room for a full size person to fit behind me, i imagine in the 1er it would be even worse.

i could imagine 4 girls fitting in quite easily though, much like a mini.

Yeh it's unfortunate that my dad can't pay for all my things, on top of uni fees and everyday living expenses I could only really afford an entry level BMW.

Are you 7 foot? So you need the 3er because of it's size. Yep, everytime I drive I'm absolutely crammed into my entry level BMW with 4 other girls. It's horrible living the poor life.

But then again it might depend, he may be a mature age student, you remember those ones who sat up the front and would ask heaps of stupid questions making the lectures run over time! STFU!!!

bmroxm5 is that the same ride you got now? I didnt realise bartending paid so much! Now i understand why they put up with my drunken behavior all the time

Garage List
2007 335i Coupe  [10.00]
hahah this thread is classic.

it's the only one on the Australian forum with a bit of banter.

Are we talking M3's vs 335i's vs 135i's..... or are we talking spoilt kids with Bimmers and spelling mistakes?

are they actually spoilt, or are we just jealous that our parents gave us a shitbox for our first car and not a shiny new bimmer?
