I agree, or Greece or Italy. Personally, I would prefer that to the Caribbean.

Congrats - Hawaii is always a sure bet...WE went 8 years ago on our honeymoon and still look on our trip fondly.

Went to all the islands... Liked Big Island and Kawaii the most.

Well, I hadn't really set a specific budget yet as I still have some time to save, but I was earmarking about $6-7K for this as I really want us to have some fun! I'm not sure if that sounds like enough or not...the more I spend on the honeymoon though the less I have as a downpayment for our house.

its sad that my wife kinda ruined our honey moon by not getting down! but even that could not detract from the beauty of paris! if you enjoy art culture food and nice clothes paris is also the city of lovers or something like that? just not for me

cant go wrong with paris though my mother is a travel agent and could hook you up she's been there about 25 times she knows the city better than the cabbies! good luck and congrats i think...

My wife and I married in October as well. We picked an exotic place that was warm during that time, so we chose Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, and spent a little time in New Zealand and Australia.

Hawaii was on the list... We chose French Polynesia because we felt it was more exotic and definitely less touristy, if that is a word.

We chose a place that would be a destination that we wouldn't visit for quite some time. Hawaii is a place that we go every so once in awhile, and please don't get me wrong... Hawaii is still wonderful.

We booked through a site called http://www.islandsinthesun.com. The prices are very reasonable. We also booked at the Sofitel Ira Ora, which is a resort on a private island in Bora Bora. You can check out the info on their website.

Definitely go somewhere that you will enjoy because you enjoy doing those types of things. If you like beaches, look at Hawaii, French Polynesia, Carribean, etc... If you like history, perhaps Europe or Asia. If you want cheap... well, don't do it because it's your honeymoon. Just do proper research.
