Dealer info

Hi,

I have a 2008 335i , i ask a question to the delear concerning bluetooth:

I told that I have the bluetooth module in the car. and gave him the serial number of the car and what needs to be done in order to get bluetooth working on my car.

Here is his answer:

For Bluetooth you need :

TCU $703.80 84109181230

Bracket $18.50 65159135687

Microphone $51.67 84316938762

Antenna $42.40 84506928461

Nuts x4 $0.95 07129906048

Loudspeaker $32.32 65136938657 plus 3-4h installation

My question to you is if the module is alreading in the car and it's plug in doesn't that mean that the only thing the dealer will need to do is progrm the radio to activate the bluetooth and the pair my phone? I think the guy is wrong.

Please confirm.

Maybe your dealer is trying to tell you that you DO NOT have bluetooth in the car, as the parts list you provide (what he told you) seems to be all of the parts needed to add bluetooth.

I guess I'd start again by asking how do you know you "have the bluetooth module"?

Garage List
Also worth mentioning you can give the last 7 digits of your VIN to the service/parts counter guy and they will give you a print out of all the options on your car. Including which options are installed, such as pre-wire for Sirius, Alarm, etc.
