07 E90 Retrofit w/ Bluetooth?

Hey guys,
So I've looked thru a couple dif threads on here and other forums, and some people say different things as far as hooking up Bluetooth to work like OEM in an 07 e90...

Mine didn't come with the bluetooth option(obviously...) but, I've seen some people say that all US e90's are prewired to work, some say they aren't..

I'm just trying to make sure before I start buying stuff I don't need..

Do I NEED to get a new FZD since I don't have the 'SOS' button...?

What all else do I need to do other than...

Hook up mic

Bluetooth antenna

Adjust a couple wires

Coding

..??

Some help would be appreciated

Also, this is my first post after a stalking for a while

I'm 99% sure that all of the older US market cars, like before 2009, came prewired.

As far as what you need to get Bluetooth working, it depends on lots of factors and how you want to go. TCU/combox/new european radio/aftermarket are all options..... Your best bet is to read the hundreds of threads on the topic and decide which route you want to take.

It looks like the easiest thing to do on an 07

It looks like the easiest thing to do on an 07
is get a mobridge or dension gateway 500s bt.
That will get you bluetooth phone , bluetooth streaming music
usb/ ipod in one fell swoop.

I assume you would like to head the OEM route.. To check if you are pre-wired enter you r vin in a Vin decoder like this http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html.. In your list yourgot the most important item which is a module... Choices are TCU or a MULF unit. TCU =BMWAssist and Bluetooth PHONE calls only. "MULF2 HIGH"= Bluetooth PHONE calls only and USB. BOTH retrofits do not provide Bluetooth Streaming.

BTW welcome man!

The general consensus among here an other forums is that pre-09 models are prewired. Not really tryin to get an aftermarken radio since the double din kits look out of place to me, an the single din kits..... well, I'd rather jus keep it OEM lookin lol

The Dension kits are like those Parrot kits right? Both of those seem steep.. $500+ and installation on a car that's prewired.. jus seems like too much?I'll do what I gotta do really.. BT streaming music is cool, but not a necessity, BT phone calls is a must

Unless you have the proper modules think $$$$$

Unless you have the proper OEM modules think $$$$$( big bucks)
for the OEM BMW modules unless you can find used ones
from a second source.
Read the bluetooth sticky .
Around 700 bucks for a TCU or Mulf and it looks like more parts than that are needed plus programming.
I think it would run you at least 1k just to retrofit bluetooth phone and probably more.
A dension runs around 550 on ebay.

It is really not all that expensive to be honest. TCU can be had for 125 and MULF2 goes for 200 USED or 350 NEW.

You do realize that the thread you posted is like 4 years old correct?
Modules can be had from either here or EBay. I did the USB retrofit the other day. If Bought new I would've purchased from Tischer.

The sticky may have started in 07 but

The sticky may have started in 07 but
it has 24 pages and the latest entry's are from 2013.
Look at entry 469 in that thread.
I did see some mulfs for sail on ebay in the range you stated
but don't know if they are all good for the three series.
