Hi everyone,

Has anybody in Australia done a seafoam treatment on their 335i to help with carbon buildup? I have over 60,000kms now and am worried about carbon build up (although the car is running 100%) atm.

I'm no expert, but minimise the carbon buildup by doing it the ol fashion way and give your car a WOT caning once a week

I've used Subaru Upper Cylinder cleaner with good results on a car that had oil buildup in the combustion chamber from the supercharger leaking. Make sure to follow instructions. Can easily get them at any Subaru dealer

i have no idea, going to pick some up this week. will find out more details then. still 50/50 on doing or just cleaning them by hand

If you are looking to clean the intake with this or any other fuel additive it won't work as the fuel does not go through the intake.

You find a vacuum hose, disconnect it then spray into the vacuum hose while holding revs, for a drive by wire car, it's a 2 person job. Revs need to be maintained otherwise the foam won't burn and the engine will stall.

It still doesnt help much better to take of your intake and clean the valves. I saw nice DYI video posted few days ago its on youtube aswell
