Expel 3M Clear Bra

I am having an expel clear bra kit installed on my car - standard hood and mirrors and bumper and spoiler -- $510 installed.

Anyone had any experience? 3M warrants against fading and cracking or 3 years - they will have installer reapply if needed.

Great product.
Had it installed on my E90 330 this past summer, but its also been on my E46 323Ci for more than 5 years.
Has yet to look faded;;worth the money in my book.

For $510, you should make sure you get the extended coverage,
which goes about two feet or so up the hood (past the Roundel).

That's a good price. I got quoted $821.99 (includes sales tax) from an Xpel dealer today.

Thanks- I will post pics when it's done.

I saw a CLS with a clear film on it the other day. The film had started to yellow (on a white car). Does dirt or wax build up at the leading edges?

Not if you take care of it....shouldn't use plastic cleaners like Armor-All.

Can you use polish and wax like on paint?

I am planning on using FK products that are receiving good reviews on the detail post. I believe that the clear bra has a clear coat.

Ask your installer if he using the newest 3M film. It was released in December 2005 and even better than the older film.

As a protectant, i recommend Plexus.

I had the newest version of the 3M product installed about a month ago. It looks great. My installer said I could use the Zaino products on it as well.
