Hi, new here & with a Wheel spacer size question

Hi.

I guess this question has likely been asked a few times before, but with so many variations on wheel, car, year, pre-lci/post-lci etc i am struggling to find an answer specific to my needs.

Basically, i have a late 2010 LCI model E93 330d m-sport with 313 style 19" wheels with 255/30/19 on the rear. I have recently fitted some 15mm hubcentric spacers and these fit the car with zero rubbing issues. Infact it looks like i could probably get away with 18mm spacers on there if such a size exists?

As i am yet to get the front spacers, i have been considering putting the 15mm ones from the rear on the front and purchasing 18mm spacers for the rear. Could someone confirm for me whether or not 18mm will work on the back ok? or will i then end up with rubbing issues? I rarely have passengers in the back of the car.

Many thanks
Ryan

Roll fenders, add negative camber if you have to.

I've never seen a 18mm spacer, but if you think 18 will fit then you can probably do 20. 2mm is hardly anything.

Do i really want to be rolling the arches on an 3 year old e93 tho? is it wise! plus neg camber = excessive inside tyre wear so i would rather avoid that.

I suppose i could fit a cheap 5mm spacer in top of the 15's that i already have on there and see if it rubs, if not then obv purchase a 20mm hubcentric.

Is 3 year old supposed to be considered old? So long as you go to a professional you will have no issues. I'm not saying roll it with a bat. Not to mention BMWs come with a filler substance within the fender that stops you from rolling it past a certain point. It's not like a Japanese car where you can easily roll them flat.

Your car already has -2 degrees of camber in the rear from the factory. Another -1 will not make any difference with tire wear. It will however free up another 5mm of space for the look you want. Camber at such a minimal level is not an issue... TOE is much more of a concern. That is what causes excessive tire wear. Just make sure your toe is set to 0 when you get your alignment and you will be fine.

Lastly... NEVER put "cheap" spacers on your car. You are asking for disaster. That is your wheel and tire assembly. With the amount of torque these cars produce and having a stud lock versus traditional peg and nut/bolt assembly adding cheap spacers can be detrimental.

I hope I cleared up everything for you.

is the car lowered? or are you thinking of lowering it in the future? if yes i would stick with 15mm for now before getting 20mm or 18mm..
