1.6% OD difference front/rear X-Drive ?

Can I run tires with a 1.6% difference in OD front to rear with X-Drive?

I have (2) 245/40ZR17 Hankook Ventus Z214 tires mounted on 17x8.5" corvette wheels that I've done a fit up on my 335xi coupe using wheel spacers. Those tires have an OD of 24.6".

I also have (2) 275/35ZR18 Hankook Ventus Z214 tires mounted on 18x9.5" corvette wheels. These physically fit on the 335xi with wheel spacers, but I can't run them because their 25.5" OD doesn't match the 24.6" OD very well and it would cause huge issues with traction control / ABS.

I could just buy (2) more 245/40ZR17 Hankook Ventus Z214 tires and (2) more 17x8.5" corvette wheels, but that's pretty spendy.

I could also buy (2) 17x7.5" X5 wheels and (2) 225/45ZR17 Hankook Ventus Z214 tires relatively cheap. The OD on these is 24.9". This is 1.2% larger than the 245/40ZR17. Will that cause problems with the traction control / ABS?

I could also buy (2) 18x7.5" wheels and (2) 225/40ZR18 Hankook Ventus Z214 tires relatively cheap. The OD on these is 25.0". This is 1.6% larger than the 245/40ZR17. Will that cause problems with the traction control / ABS?

unrelated - I can't believe how much the 17x8" OE BMW Wheels weigh. They are much heavier than 18x9.5" corvette wheels.

No you can't. The maximum diameter difference for Xdrive is 1%.

This is the general rule of thumb. Staggered OEM wheels from the factory typically have 0.5% difference. 1.5% is way too much and will put added strain on the drivetrain

Replace the front with 245/45/17 and you only have a .4% difference.

the Ventus Z214 isn't made in the size.

they do make 245/40ZR18 with a 25.6" OD that I could run with the 275/35ZR18. I guess that's another option.
