TPMS issue....help

Hey guys, so I just switched over to my winter rims/tires and now every day, I get a message on my idrive that says "set tire pressure and reset" or something like that. When I go into the tpms setting, it says active but I still have to reset to get the tpms sign off my dash. Any idea what's going on?

It sounds like your winter wheels did not have tire pressure sensors mounted in them.

The sensors are installed at the time tires are mounted to the wheels.

They do have them. I bought another set when installing and worked fine last winter. When I reset it's fine and works perfectly until the next morning after the car sits for awhile then the same message comes up and have to reset again.

You may have one faulty sensor. You can have a shop run diagnostic to tell you which sensor is not working.

Also, check your tire pressure before re-setting. Winter tires have a thick side wall, and it's difficult to tell visually if they are low in pressure.
