warranty follows with the shocks itself not the buyer just like insurance for a car. the insurance follows the car not driver.

Are you sure the warranty transfers? Didn't you have to fill out out a sheet to register them to YOU? If it does in fact transfer and fits an xi, I'm interested. PM me price shipped to 10538.
