Rear ended while getting gas last nite...Smh

2 cars got into an accident and jumped the curb and ran into my car. Luckily I wasnt hooked up to the pump yet.

Went to the hospital for whiplash, now i have to deal with insurance, bodyshop and lawyers.

Doubt i can total it out but i hate driving a car after an accident especially a rear end accident.

Looks like it might be totaled. I think there is more damage then seen.

Really unfortunate to see that. Looks like it was some kind of freak accident. Hope everything goes over well.

OP, make sure to really check anything that is even the slightest bit painful. I was involved in a rear end collision, and did not go to the hospital until the following day. Ended up with broken ribs, herniated discs, have undergone multiple knee surgeries and may require even more surgeries.

If it hurts, get an MRI/X-Ray.

Sucks to hear OP but good thing your ok and it wasn't worse then that. I know you don't like to drive a car once it's been in an accident, I'm the same way, but when I took it to MAC they fixed her up good as new. Unfortunately I don't think your car is totaled at all. I just had my 335 totaled last month and the insurance had to be pushed with every bit of pressure for them to do so. My damages were around $30k and they STILL wanted to fix it.

Good luck with whatever the outcome.

Thanks everyone.

Yeah I have only had this car for a year exactly this month. The jet black 1 got traded back in for a grey XI.

Yeah it could have been worse but you dont pump your own gas in NJ but if I had been digging in my trunk for something like a phone charger or cd I would have been cut in half easy.

This happened on rte 1N in Edison.

Lawyer wants me to go to an orthopedic surgeon soon as possible to get another check over.

Thanks for clarifying, I thought I lost the part of my mind that recognizes colors.

I hope it all works out well for you, and I am glad you were inside the car when you got nailed instead of standing by the trunk pumping your gas.

So sorry to hear the bad news! Triple check everything over with your doctors.

I would rather see your BMW totaled, then you.

God bless and hope all works out for you!

wow, yeah glad you're okay! Even though we are "lucky" enough to have rude attendants who talk on cell phones in farci and spill gas all over your car, sometimes I do get out to get my wallet out of my gym bag or something and that could've been disastrous for you. Shows how solid bimmers are tho...that cab looks some kinda messed up! Or was that from the previous collision?

Definitely don't try to be a tough guy with injury stuff. Go get fully checked out as others have said so you can be compensated (at least monetarily) for the serious injuries you may have sustained. GL

Hope you feel better soon. Hope your insurance company steps up and doesn't try to screw you with a low ball adjustment. If you keep it make sure they use all original parts that are new.
