Dimensions are 20x5.75x7.125" which puts the total volume at 819". I don't have an oem intercooler in stock right now to measure, does anyone know the dimensions off the top of their head?

http://forums.n54tech.com/showthread.php?t=9616 Says 7620cm^3 for stock. 819in^3 = 13,421cm^3 Not sure how Dinan arrived at their "93% increase figure" as that would make it larger than the gigantic 'big tom' intercooler. Can't seem to find dimensions for a Dinan. |

The Dinan FMIC compensates additional volume in depth from when I last compared it to the stock and the FMIC housing. Most of the Big Tom FMIC volume goes to its height with less depth

An 88% increase is going to be more than enough for stock turbos. At what point would the IC be too big for the stock turbos?

Just replied! Not sure how I missed it, I'm really sorry about that.
For those wondering, here's a few pics of our 5" prototype. Just waiting for the intercooler to arrive at the shop so we can test fit it on the shop car and give the ok for mass production! I'll work on some better pictures as soon as this bad boy is in hand! |

These will be priced at about $30 less than our current intercoolers so you can expect them to go for around $425 after the intro pricing
No need to reserve one now, we'll have plenty available when they arrive! |

Are either going to come with the option to have a stenciled VRSF logo? Idk why but i think sometimes intercoolers look much better with a black logo

VRSF 7" vs. STOCK
INCREASE IN FRONTAL SURFACE AREA: 16.5% INCREASE IN TOTAL VOLUME: 74.6% Got some more accurate #'s for you guys based on the measurements provided by VRSF If you guys use the same design for the 5" and just change depth to 5" it will be: VRSF 5" vs. Stock INCREASE IN FRONTAL SURFACE AREA: 16.5% INCREASE IN TOTAL VOLUME: 22.6% I should get 20% off for doing all this math for you |

By my calculations, assuming the oem is 435 cubic inches, we're @ 819 cubic inches (20x5.75x7.125) so it's an 88% increase in total volume and the 5" would be an increase of 32%
