Wouldn't Jones Beach have more space than CW Post? Better scenery at Jones Beach if we can meet at Field 6. It's closer to the beach.

Yes, it would.

In addition, Jones is a public area. We would be tresspassing on CW Post. Holding a meeting without a permit is something I am not comfortable with.

Even though I like the Bayville area, I don't think it's a park like Jones beach. At Jones beach there will be no locals to worry about except the seagulls.. All they can do is drop some bombs on the paint..

Anyway, when i move out there in august, we have to have a meet!

My vote is in for Jones Beach cuz If the meet is on for sunday morning we can meet up at Captree Statepark where they have a meet every Sunday in the A.M. where all the REAL toys come out..IE..Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Maserati's, corvette ZO6's, muscle cars etc..My cousin and all his boys go with his Supercharged Zo6 and their worked Camaro's..Just my .02

ok..well jones is gettin pretty good reaction on the other forums...but somequestions are arising about it. i dont reall yknow much about jones beach as i have never actually been there, nor know what to expect...

1) is there a cost for parking?
2)cops breaking it up..i everyone saying last year cops were asses
3)permits?

1) There is no cost if you go early in the A.M..even if they do charge its like $6
2) The exotic car gathering never attracts bad attention from the cops...as long as you dont do stupid shit

There are two great picture opportunities. One is by the jones beach toll booths I mentioned earlier with all BMWs parked next to a booth. The next is if there arent that many cars, to park it all by the front of the pencil in front of field 4. I think you are allowed to stand by the curb with the car. If it's really deserted (which it wont be if its nice out) we can take one around the pencil. That would be really cool but I highly doubt that would be possible. Does anyone know of a professional photographer or anyone with a good camera?
