'07 E93 Alpine HID kit

I've lurked for too long...

Thanks for the info, guides and pictures. I was wondering if heat has been an issue with ANY of the properly installed kits so far? I love the look but I can't help but wonder about the heat off the bulb, where it goes, and what it does.

How much brighter are they than the LED angel eye upgrade, and if i were to go with the LED upgrade would it be significantly easier to do? (since there is no ballast)

Thanks for the write up. I've been considering which new AEs to go with for a few weeks now and couldn't decide. Today I had an OEM bulb go and am forced to choose or waste money on a stand-in-replacement. This write up made the difference. Good work!

I have this done to my car, however I put the ballast inside the angel eye housing. How were you able to put the ballast outside the housing and run the wires? Could you explain that or show pictures? Thanks.

Ummm, dont think u should put it in the housing. The ballast gets really hot.

3 min in is when he puts the cover on.

This is great!! 1 question, would the wires be pinched once the cover is put back on?

Thanks, I will be doing this today. Did you have to code anything afterwards? or is your kit PnP?
