Sorry mang- I have a pre-lci xenon so I believe we are working with different beasts. Wish I could be of more help! Hope you get things figured out... Im sure a little trial and error will bring you to a solution.

I'm gonna dive into this myself this weekend... Just got my rings today! So pumped. Besides wiring though- the only other obstacle with the rings is figuring out a sure-fire way to mount them to the lci xenons. Any ideas?

You are brave, was it hard to remove it?
You are almost there...looking forward to see the results.

not at all. Popping the pin connector in has already been mentioned along with pushing out the three plugs you see on the wires. The last bit was the ballast wires that were around a plastic prong that is pretty hard to see. I pushed them over the prong with a small fork from my kitchen. Wasn't really hard at all. Makes switching pins, soldering or splicing a lot easier this way.

Is there some kind of connector where you can push the 2 pins in and it outputs to 1 pin. This way no tapping will be required and just a cleaner way of doing things.
I ordered the missing components today. I missed this post a while back. There must be a way to find some type of 2 to 1 adapter or make one so it is completely reversible and OEM. Anyone know where I could get the components I need? I can take close up shots of the harness as I have it removed.

How about opening the light. How did you do that? With the Orion V4's out now, I am strongly considering them.

to open the light i just used heat gun and flat head screwdrier. i started doing this from the corner where headlight meets the grill. then i had my buddy pry the headlight while i softened the adhesive and plastic with the heat gun, just to open it better.

the Orion v4's don't come for our cars

I emailed them today and they said that they do. They just put a set on an e92 m3 and said they are the same for our cars.

Did the plastic get all mangled up? In the other thread they keep going on about an oscillating tool and how it can be done in 30 mins.

can you take close up pics where the lens meets the housing on the finished and unfinished ones?

They look excellent btw. Good work. Saved yourself at least $500. What paint did you use?

headlights blackout failure

hi guys,
i m from Malta, Europe and i m tring to do the same thing with my e93 lci headlights too. but as i ve made about 30min heating up yhe plastic, god damn, the sealer seams to be much stronger than the plastic!! in fact, i ve damaged even the glass but a little bit. than i have given up and i ve heated up the plastic again tried to give it again the factory look...90% succeded...any details please guys??

i ve started to heat from the fender side not from the grill and my heat gun has to varients; low or high. after about 20minutes with low and nothing happened i tried 15min more with high but the adhesive was still attached and the plastic started to melt. any help please??

Is there an easier way to do this, is there a company that will rearrange the wires for you or something like that?

These guys say that you can buy a plug and play harness, do any of you know where to get one, I think these guys want you to buy the lights from them with it in a kit.

I am trying to make a harness but I can't find the headlight pins and receptacles from bmw. It is pretty easy if you can get those two male and female pieces.
