police siren sound resolved?

I read over in another thread that someone had thier police siren sound fixed by tightening pulleys/pulley replacement. Does anyone know more about this such as SIB? Here is the original thread

Alternator whine? Sorry I didn't read the thread just putting it out there. Do you have a system installed with an amp? Hope that helps you. There is another thing that our cars do that gives the ambulance whine. I'll have to find the thread for you. Means your turbos are going out.

Really? Is that the general consensus? Searching through the threads I found that it was 50/50 or maybe 75/25 lol. My question is that if performance isnt hindered and I get the siren, are my turbos still shot?

A police siren whine, can also mean that your turbo's may be on their way out....

OoOo, my sound isnt that high pitched. I get it under acceleration, not just revving... Hmmm..
