Working the numbers on a 335xi coupe
I'm looking to lease a 2008 335xi coupe soon configured the following way:
Base MSRP $42,600 Space Gray Metallic $475 Black Leather $1450 Cold Weather Package $600 Sport Package $400 iPod adapter $400 Destination $775 Total MSRP $46,700 I've been trolling around on these forums, seeing what people have been getting and I'm trying to figure out what lease terms I should shoot for. I'm looking to do a 36 month, 12,000 miles/year lease. Given that the current MF on the 335xi coupe is .00245 (according to http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...ht=lease+rates), that the current residual on that car is 60% for 12K miles/yr, and that it seems most people seem to be able to negotiate to a base cap cost of $2000 below MSRP, here's the lease payment I've calculated with $2500 down (according to http://www.leaseguide.com/calc.htm) MSRP $46,700 Base cap cost ($2000 off MSRP): $44,700 Down payment: -$2500 Net cap cost: $42,200 Residual value: 60% Money Factor: .00245 Term: 36 mos @ 12,000 miles/yr Lease Payment: $565.93/month PLUS tax Does this seem reasonable? Am I overshooting or undershooting on anything? Is $2000 off MSRP reasonable? Is the .00245 money factor reasonable? Are there any other factors I should negotiate down further? IS there any advantage to wait till February to work on this deal (aka, change in MF or residual?) Like I said, I didn't get this deal yet, but I just want to see if my numbers seem reasonable to shoot for. By the way, I live in the DC/MD/VA area. |
