Question about Pathway Light
I have a 07 328i Coupe. The description from the manual about pathway light really confuse me. I think the way to setup a pathway light is:
1) setup the delay time >0 2) shut down everything 3) pull the handle toward the wheel (headlight flasher) 4) get out of the car! But as soon as I lock the car (touching the handle for comfort access, or press the lock button from remoter), the low beam turns OFF. Is it how it suppose to work, or did I miss anything here? Thanks a lot! |

you've got it right. Just make sure the delay is more than 0 (mine is 45, controlled through Idrive) you only have to set it once. And when you're pulling the handle, make sure you pull it harder as if you were clicking on your highbeams (except toward you), not like you were using the flasher.

It leaves your low beams on for a short set-period of time so you can see your way in the dark.
You're probably thinking of "Welcome lighting"

Hi it'smy first BMW. I have Bi xenons option. I'd like to find out what the two other lights are for(inner lights close to the grill). I don't think I've ever seen them light up nor found a way to switch them on.

Thread from the dead.
Just picked up a 2008 328i, my pathway light feature does the same... No workee, workee. No change after setting the delay to any value in the config menu settings (0 to 150 seconds). Anybody else ever find the reason why their pathway lights do not work either?
