Ticking noise 335i stock
Hey guys
My stock 335i is suffering from a strange ticking noise. It has one which starts around 1 min after cold start thrn goes away at temp. It has another on medium throttle but not on heavy loads. What could be causing it. Neither is there all the time but it does sound metalic. Turbos have less than 10k on them. |

The easiest way is to get a clip on here. My 335i does make a noise on cold start but I think it's a belt. It will be checked next month when it's serviced. Have you looked in YouTube? Very useful when I need to watch something.

I'd have thought it was normal. Ticking is normal... knocking is not!
The N54 is a horrendously noisy petrol engine. Don't think I've ever heard anything like it |

Tons of clips on YouTube. Most likely either injectors or valve lifters.

Only reason i get paranoid about it is i had t before and it turned out to need camshaft, camshaft bearing ledges, vanos gears and alot of other stuff.
After it had it, it went away now its back. |
