frustrated with propery agents on letting!!

Flat is due for renewal, i asked to take my name of as i will be moving away but not yet. probably 2-3 month after our intial contract runs out. The agent wants £360 for the change and it we just renew our contract without any change it would be £60 .They said it will be a NEW contract but i'm arguing its a change as my father will still be guarantor for my friend etc etc..

so annoyed!

I can't help but agree that they are useless. My mum uses one to let her property and they fuck up more or less everything....

You could see if the property owner could help apply pressure to the agent.

If my agent did that to our tenants I'd be pretty unimpressed to be honest, and make it clear I felt it rather unfair - unless there is a good reason it needs to cost this much?

lol trying, complained to landlord and hopefully he will change agents to manage the flat or contribute some of the fee.

Thing is that this agent is really annoying , landlord wants to increase rent and i ask if they can ask the landlord to keep the same rent as last year, i got a reply saying 'no ' then i contact the landlord myself directly and surprise landlord agree as soon as i mentioned it , i didn't ask if the agent actually asked him about it but from the tone of my landlord it didn't seem like they did ask.

+ 1 on that. I rent out an apartment. I like happy tenants because happy tenants are good for me too.
