(NEED ADVICE) New Exhaust set-up UPDATED

I just had my primary cats taken off and replaced it with a straight pipe. Before this I had a:

-Remus Powersound muffler
-Secondary Cat Delete
-Resonator Delete
-2.5 inch single pipe from headers back

UPDATE

I loved the sound of it but I wanted more power so I removed the primary cats from of my headers. It was way too raspy after with almost no restrictions so I added a Magnaflow Glasspack, and its still a little raspy.

After adding the glasspack for some backpressure it still feels like theres no low end torque. And according to my OBD scanner the engine is limiting torque (Error code: 2D5A). I'm getting a re-tune when I figure out the perfect setup so I want to have as much airflow as possible without losing too much back pressure. Basically, the glasspack isn't doing enough so here are my options:

-keep the glasspack and add high-flow secondaries
or
-delete the glass-pack and add high-flow secondaries
or
-replace glasspack with a more restrictive resonator (suggestions please)

I want optimum back pressure and flow.

I'll get a video when I can, my car has been in and out of the shop because of problems with the front axles.

Here's what it sounded like a while ago:

I loved the sound of it but I wanted more power so I removed the primary cats from of my headers. It was WAY too raspy especially at 3,000 RPM. To try to fix it I had a Magnaflow Glasspack put on as a resonator. It got rid of a lot of the drone and rasp throughout the rev range but at 3,000rpm it was still bad.

And according to an OBD scanner my engine is cutting torque because of minimal back pressure, hence why I added a glasspack. Now its still too loud I was wondering if I should add a high-flow secondary cat. I'm getting a re-tune when my decision is made so I want to have as much airflow as possible without losing too much back pressure and being too obnoxiously loud. Should I:

-keep the glasspack and add high-flow secondaries
or
-delete the glass-pack and add high-flow secondaries
or
-leave as is and get used to it.

I want optimum back pressure and flow.

I'll get a video when I can, my car has been in and out of the shop because of problems with the front axles.
That makes no sense.

Back pressure shouldn't be a problem on na engines, as far as I know.

I would have left the primaries on and tried a different muffler

I have always liked the idea of all catless. But i remember on the m3 forums. The guy wanted catless sound, without sacrificing smell and power. Keeping the primary cat shells and fitting high flow/performance cats would be my suggestion. I want to do the same but i just dont know if it'll be the same result with the current cats.

You're just better off buying AFE headers or Euro headers. The stock manifolds are crap, the primaries are too short, the merge is terrible, etc etc. Essentially anything is better than those boat anchors.

Yup, exactly. I'm planning on buying AFE headers to pair with my AFE mid pipes, resonator delete and custom quad set up.

Has anyone fitted/reviewed the AFE headers yet?

Budvlad on here did it. He said it went in perfect and it sounded great. I agree that full catless sounds too raspy. These seem to be a great alternative.

Search Afe headers and you'll find his review
