my e92 in sapphire black
hi guys
had it a week and half now, and love it to bits. i had a z4 coupe in sapphire black before this, although it was a hoot to drive, it just wasn't practical, and i couldn't get comfortable in it, and with the motorway commute every day it was just annoying me. traded in for this, 325i bi-xenons, proffesional H/U & style 189 alloys love the way it drives ability to just let it drive itself. mods so far are LED numberplate bulbs, stubby zhp gearknob and thats about it (i've ordered some genuine mats) although i've given it a good machine polish, removed alloys and cleaned arches as im a bit of an OCD freak haha anyway, great forum and lots of useful info, |

Nice pretty much the same as mine (and owned for a similar amount of time), except you have the wheels (or one set) that I want and I have leather.
Any info on the gear nob? I want a shorter one. That's not what she said. |

Black Sapphire. Best colour when clean although I quite like is it that Lemans Blue ??
Posting some of mine from the weekend - cleaned with a porter cable & used some einsett glans wax that I found in the garage - forgot how good that stuff is. |

Hi thanks for all the kind words, it's my fourth sapphire black BMW as I had 2 e46's before the z4!
The_bear ; the gear knob is an e46 Clubsport one and retails around 45 quid from BMW. Although I'm after the e92 m sport gear knob which is more square, just put this on as the original was knawed at by what looks like a hamster! Thanks again, Jay |

Jay, hows your front end & bonnet for chips?
Mines not too bad & on the pics its looks good but I'm thinking of having the bonnet & bumper resprayed as I think that will be the only way I will be properly happy. |

I was just considering this today mate , Ive a scuff on the nearside from a parking misshapen by the Previous ownEr and it's done 77k so the front bumper could do with a once over, gonna get some quotes I think, if it's less than 200 I'll get it done, if it's more I'd rather get an interior for it
Cheers hot coupe much appreciated |

That's the good thing with the E92!!! Few standard jobbies that you have to spec on E90's.
She must be a 56 then!! Have to say she looks immaculate.
