$350 sounds very high. I thought others were around $150.

XYR03 lives in Richmond and wrapped his trim and whole car. I know he said he'd do mine if I decide to get it done. $150 from a shop is a good price in my opinion though.

What thickness do we need? 3" or 4" or 5" ? Would anyone down to meet up and arrange a "group diy"?

The 3" should be fine to do one car. They say get the 5" if you're doing two cars. Just remember to cut it in half to do the bottom pieces because they're only like 1/2" wide, and you can use a half for each side.

I'd be down for a group diy, I've had mine for a month but have just been too busy to do it haha.

Yeah, definitely let us know the results. I'd probably get mine done for that price.

Then again, the real trim is $350 or so, so maybe that's worth it for a super permanent solution? I feel like the vinyl could get easily messed up just washing the car or something simple.

If this goes well we should talk to them about getting a group rate going!

I am also trying to work down the price a little bit by performing the labor to remove the mirrors myself.

Im hoping to get the price down to $100 or so if I do the labor.

Installing as I post! I'm really looking forward to the final result. I ended up removing the mirrors myself to save some of the labor cost. Removing mirrors on the E92 is much more challenging than the E90, but not too bad. As soon as I get the car home and put the mirrors on, pics will come.

Small hiccup in the process. The shop was having a real hard time trying to apply the vinyl from the 4 inch strip. They are now using one large sheet per side to avoid the troubles of having it bend around the corners.

It could have been done if I was willing to have small slices in the vinyl, but I want one uniform piece doing the upper trim, and one piece for the door.

They are now applying the larger sheets, so this should turn out to be even better.

They also said that the bmwshadowline.com stuff is a 7 rating, while the new material is a 9 rating, and is easier to heat and bend than the vinyl I brought in.

Only $150 to wrap all the trim? Are they removing your trim? My trim cannot be removed due to it being a convert. I was gonna paint it myself this week.

They are not removing the trim. Mine is an E92, but they should be able to wrap the trim on an E93 as well. The upper trim might be easier since is is sectioned off, but the base trim around the rear of the car would be challenging.

I didn't want to paint since I will be owning it for a while, and I didn't want paint chips. Even though I will be very happy with the end result here, I wish the oem parts were not over 1k for the coupe shadowline.
