Hi,
has anyone of you coding-gurus swaped a manual climate control panel to an automatic? Can it be done with Autologic? Is it possible? I´ve heard it is. Thank you in advance! Last edited by Tredvesone; 12-17-2010 at 04:18 PM.. |

The BT really blows when it comes to coding. Can't really do any coding with it. Tried the professional tool and got errors. Called BT and they just say they are working on it.

BT cable
Sorry for the repeat BT cable question.
After I posted I went all the way to post 1 on this topic. I'll be buying the suggested cable from one stop for my '08 135. I'll post results. Great topic but gradually getting beyond my knowledge. |

It works like.. 40% of the time for the CAS module, but when I try to go into any other module, it's 100% that this message comes up. What could be the problem?? |

For people that want to disable the annoying iDrive Legal Disclaimer screen at start-up.
Note: this is for the earlier E90 with CCC modules but it may also work with the newer CIC module also. In the Control unit: Cappl (CCC) look for: LEGAL_DISCL aktiv change to: LEGAL_DISCL nicht_aktiv |

You have to use the profile that is called something like FSW PSW MAN . In the DIY i guide you to make the profile because with the profile coding via the .MAN file is enabled... i hope that helps. please be sure to follow every step closely. I'll try to answer rest of questions when i get home |

I used that profile and still same error and now I'm nervous. I only coded digital speed and turn gong off when door open and now my speed warning setting wont select when I hit enable, and the gong is now an annoying chime noise not the normal BMW gong. I am nervous i did something wrong, I restored my original file and the only module I actually wrote to was the kombi.
My battery also died and I needed to charge it but the coding was done and then the battery died a couple of minutes later. There is a lot of other items in service required that weren't there before like Emission inspection and some random triangle with a ? The gong noise isn't happening when I leave the door open with the key in and I restored the original file and when I re-read the values it shows active. These were the values I set Disable dong when driver door open and key in slot CC_ZUENDSCHLUESSEL (will reset ecu including clock possibly service dates) Digital speed on cluster BC_DIGITAL_V Please help. What I'm also a little confused about is i I have an FSW_PSW.TRC when I first started that has 14k lines and now I have another FSW_PSW.TRC with 15k lines. How do I just restore everything to stock again? What is the FSW_PSW.TRC files? It has every setting from the car? Is there a way to restore this file? Why do I have 2 of these files with different number of lines. Is it possible I uploaded the wrong .TRC file?

Want to thank everyone in this whole forum so far. Yes, that's right I started form scratch and re-read the module and then overwrote it with my original file, and now everything is working again. I am not sure what I uploaded to make it do that but now it's working. Oviously, I have to be very careful and I understand how easy you can muck something up. I guess worst case, goto dealer and tell them the car is acting wierd. I dont't think they could know I tried to re-program car? lol.
The only module I wrote was the KOMBI so I am not sure why that happened, maybe it was because the battery was getting low and didn't finish writting all settings or something. I am still experiecing the above when trying to read the CIC or some other modules? including the key/car settings (F5). Is this because my daten files are to old? there Jan/2010 dated. I will def donate to the OP and thank everyone and this is an amazing thread. Also, what is the original .TRC file with all the settings? and why is my original .TRC file when I first started have like 14k lines and the new downloaded one is 15k. Why is there a difference in amount of lines? That just shows all options in all modules? You can't actually use that one can you? I also, have a file called scanid.log and it says Nicht gefundene Steuergeraete: (not found surfaces) 2MULF CIC CID ZBE I am sorry for so many questions, I want to understand everything so I can help other people here. I understand basic concepts and princiaps, but don't understand why I can't access some of the modules and thanks to the op for the writeup. Is that the best profile to use? What's the difference between that and the imfamouse "fister" profile? I just want to make sure I am doing everything right. Last edited by spazticrecords; 12-18-2010 at 07:41 AM.. |

Even troubleshooting normal Vista issues is difficult as there isn't a lot of info on the web - windows 7 already has a huge knowledge base compared to Vista and has only been around for about a year - just a function of adoption.

My programming was even faster then what I saw in the videos. All the waiting part was very short. Longest was like 5 seconds. The DWAI took like 2 seconds to read and write. I never received an error. Not once. And my vista install is 2 years old. Came new with the laptop. One thing though, I had to add some serial settings to the registry so everything would say OK during the serial driver install. So in all , I think it's a combination of things. Car year, software, cable, serial port settings, maybe even user error... |
