FBO 335i vs Tune-Only C63 RESULTS
So i finally got a chance to run against my buddy with a chipped c63
I was running full bolt ons, dci, jb4 map 5, with no meth The weather was 25 degrees Celsius outside (77 Fahrenheit I believe) and it was decently humid. Every run was from a roll as he said off a dig he would get smoked due to lack of traction. He wasn't joking as the car literally goes sideways off the line. 1st run: He gets the jump on me but I stay at his front door the entire run until we shut it down 2nd run: I get the jump this time and we are neck/neck the entire run and then he starts edging me slightly right before we shut it down 3rd run: I tried DS mode this time instead of M and got smoked lol 4th run: I got the jump and actually took it down...he was very impressed...however CEL came on (probably oil was too hot as it was past the middle), so we stopped after that I was very happy with the results as I didn't get owned and I won a run....it was very close every run and my car wasn't cold as I was driving for about 30 min before we met up with no cooldown Afterwards, he even stated with cold air temp he probably would've lost every run....or if I was spraying meth, it would've been completely different results. To the "know it alls" who stated that I would get spanked without meth, well obviously you're wrong because even with warm temps, no meth, warm oil temps and some heatsoak, I still managed to keep up and even win one. I think it's time to do a 1/4 and see what my baby is putting down |

Ok what octane was this on 94? You are probably seeing 13-14 psi of boost on map 5, and not accounting for the hot temps, i find it hard to believe you would stay side by side let alone beat a tuned C63.

So these were all dig runs? From a roll he would have bus lengths on you, sorry.
The c63 doesn't have the luxury of launching in 2nd gear like the 6at n54, could explain why you were beating him good off the line. Sounds like your buddy needs a driver mod

Ben I honestly don't know what you're talking about fbo+ procede no meth I ran 2 c63's , 1 of them which were an official setup race and I beat it twice by a car length 2nd and 3rd gear roll up to 130'ish Edit: didn't notice the c63 was chipped LOL |

well that just shows that if you beat a stock c63 by a car length...then for me to keep up with a chipped c63 and even get a win by half a car length makes sense if you ask me

I believe. Cause I pull many times with my friends stock c63.
Pull from steady to 170 couple times, smoke the C63. Pull couple times from 100km/h - 200km/h, neck to neck After 200km/h, I got smoked. My car is a typical FBO E90 335xi AT(no meth), ran on cobb stage 1(around 15-16psi). But I believe the story will be different since I am running on stage 2(17-18psi peak) now lol. |

Maybe these Canadian c63s are de tuned even further than the us spec c63? A tune only c63 traps 119 all day, on pump gas, full weight. Good luck trapping that on your pump gas 335i.

Try map2 next time as Terry told me it would be stronger than map 5. More stable. U need 94 octane obviously. Add some NOS octane booster also.
PS good job. I took on drag strip a C63 AMG and a CLS 63 AMG both by 4 car lengths for 2-3 runs each. Without meth...

I'm really not interested in hearing peoples negative opinions if they never ran a tuned c63. hp/tq only go so far...every car has a different type of powerband and weight at the end of the day, why you hating?? I lost a few runs and won one run....and instead of saying "good job" you automatically assume something is wrong or that I'm lying....*sigh* haters |

On the flip side, I'm not the one posting race "results" with no videos, no specifics, or other relevant information that most others would care to include. I'm not the one carrying myself like I have a 13 inch penis and acting like a spoiled brat when faced with opposition. If you want to hear good job, here you go - good job.

I dunno, I've seen tuned C63's and they are no joke. Maybe it was a poor tune and not all tunes are equal. I know for a fact that the C63 has a nasty power band and those cars tuned can make over 500 WHP. I've seen them run and they are unbelievably consistent, I mean even stock there is nearly a second difference in 1/4 mile between the two.
