Vishnu DS Shift Maps AT

With all the talk about shifting by 6k on Vishnnu maps, why aren't there new AT shift maps that tell the car to shift by 6200 6500rpm when in DS? Is this something Shiv could program in the procede?

Did I miss something or does this seem obvious?

EDIT: I think this first post was misunderstood as me complaining/making a scene. Please don't view it this way. I think revised shift patters for the DS on the car would be awesome. If it was remapped to be a TRUE DS,(example: it never let the car drop below 3500RPM or it would downshift another gear and shifting always by 6300-6500rpm) that would be AWESOME. Unfortunately I don't have paddles on the XI. When I'm going through the twisties, I want 2 hands on the wheel at all times, not manually shifting. Just personal preference.

Shifting patterns were changed on my 99 silverado in early 2000 with a $200 dollar hypertech tuner I bought used on ebay. It made the 1-2 shift happen 500RPM later so I would land in the meat of 2nd.

Uh what you're asking requires a tcu reprogram, which is beyond the capabilities of the procede.

You can redline every gear except the 3-4 shift. Is it that hard to manually shift one gear?

Because 7000 rpm sounds glorious with a free flowing exhaust?

I just think it'd be a really cool feature.

This isn't something that hasn't been done. I had a 99 Silverado pickup truck when I was in college with a Hypertech programmer that changed the shifting so when the 1-2 shift happened, you landed in the meat of 2nd.

It was only a thought. Please excuse my curiosity.

As someone has already stated, this is a TCU reprogram. I know that Cobb offers an accessport for the GTR that is able to control many transmission settings and do such things as reprogram the launch control. I wonder if they'll work on this for the N54/N55's....

I wonder how hard it really is too? It'd be sweet and I think people would go for it.

I can't comment on the difficulties associated; I can comment on the price though... that particular AP is $1500. lol

i would love some tcu software development. i don't like the idea of the auto shifting early, but there are so many other possibilties
